Anti Nipah Virus NP (NiV-NP) Monoclonal Antibody
Description: Nipah virus (NiV) belongs to the Paramyxoviridae family and Henipavirus genus. It is considered a zoonotic disease that can cause encephalitis, pneumonia, and vasculitis in humans after being transmitted from bats. NiV infects humans through bats and contaminated intermediate hosts such as pigs. Currently, there is no effective vaccine or therapeutic drug for NiV. The NiV genome is a negative-stranded single-stranded RNA with a size of approximately 18.2kb. It is similar to other paramyxoviruses and belongs to the enveloped virus group. Two major glycoproteins on the surface of the virus particle, G and F, are responsible for binding to the host cell receptors ephrin-B2 and ephrin-B3, completing the adsorption process. The nucleocapsid protein NP is a large structural protein in the viral particle and can be used as a target for clinical diagnosis.
