Description: Human parainfluenza virus type 1 (HPIV1) and type 3 (HPIV3) are members of the Paramyxoviridae family and are small， enveloped viruses with a diameter of approximately 150-200 nanometers. They are important human pathogens that can cause a range of respiratory illnesses， including bronchiolitis， croup， and pneumonia.HPIV1 and HPIV3 are primarily transmitted through respiratory droplets or direct contact with contaminated surfaces or objects. They are highly contagious and can spread rapidly among individuals in close contact. Symptoms typically appear within 3-7 days of exposure and can last for up to 2 weeks. NP is the structural protein with high content inside the viral particle. Monoclonal antibodies specifically recognizing HPIV nucleoprotein NP can be used for scientific research and clinical diagnosis applications.
