Anti Human Metapneumovirus NP (hMPV-NP) Monoclonal Antibody
Description: Human Metapneumovirus (hMPV) belongs to the Paramyxoviridae family and has a single-stranded negative-sense RNA genome, similar to avian metapneumovirus C group. The virus was first isolated in the Netherlands in 2001. Epidemiological studies have shown that hMPV is the second most common cause of lower respiratory tract infections in children after RSV, accounting for approximately 5%-40% of hospitalized or outpatient respiratory infections in children. Based on genetic sequences, current hMPV strains can be classified into four branches: A1, A2, B1B2. F and G proteins are the main surface glycoproteins of hMPV viral particles, while nucleoprotein NP is the structural protein with high content inside the viral particle. Monoclonal antibodies specifically recognizing hMPV nucleoprotein NP can be used for scientific research and clinical diagnosis applications.
