Description: The H6 subtype avian influenza virus was first discovered in turkeys in 1965 and has been widely found in domestic poultry in Southeast Asia in recent years, including H6N1, H6N2, H6N4, H6N6, etc. The H6 subtype avian influenza virus is generally low pathogenic to wild birds and poultry. In 2013, the world's first human case of H6N1 avian influenza was found in Taiwan, indicating that the H6 subtype avian influenza virus has the risk of cross-species transmission leading to human infection.
