Description: BCMA (B cell maturation antigen) is a membrane protein mainly expressed on the surface of mature B cells and belongs to the tumor necrosis factor receptor superfamily, also known as CD269 or tnfrsf17. BCMA is mainly expressed on the surface of advanced B cells, proliferating plasmablasts and long-lived plasma cells, but not expressed in naive B cells, CD34 positive hematopoietic stem cells and other normal tissue cells. The expression of BCMA in multiple myeloma (MM) is significantly higher than that in normal plasma cells, making it an important target for the treatment of MM.
