Description:
CD137, also known as 4-1BB, is an inducible co-stimulatory receptor that is a transmembrane glycoprotein and belongs to the tumor necrosis factor receptor (TNFR) family. It is encoded by the gene TNFRSF9.CD137 is primarily expressed on activated CD4+ and CD8+ T cells, natural killer (NK) cells, and constitutively expressed on regulatory T cells. In addition, CD137 is also expressed on activated macrophages, B cells, and dendritic cells. The ligand of CD137 is called CD137 Ligand, which is mainly expressed on activated antigen-presenting cells (APCs), such as dendritic cells (DCs), B cells, monocytes, and phagocytic cells.
