Description: Feline leukemia virus (FeLV) is an RNA virus in the subfamily Oncovirinae belonging to the retroviridae family. FeLV is one of the most important infectious diseases of cats worldwide. Affected cats can develop anemia, cancers, and/or suppression of the immune system. The p27 core viral antigen is the target used for in-clinic diagnostic testing for FeLV.
