Description: According to the antigenicity of viral surface proteins hemagglutinin (HA) and neuraminidase (NA), influenza A viruses can be classified into 17 HA subtypes and 10 NA subtypes. Hemagglutinin has immunogenicity, but it is highly variable, which is the main reason for antigenic variation in influenza A viruses. Influenza viruses that cause pandemics are often generated by gene reassortment between different RNA segments of two strains during infection of cells. Based on the differences in HA, they are mainly divided into two groups: Group I (H1/2/5/6/9) and Group II (H3/4/7/10). Theoretically, influenza viruses can recombine to produce 256 different subtypes, which have high morbidity and mortality rates, cause huge economic losses, and constantly trigger global health issues. Broad-spectrum influenza HA monoclonal antibodies can be used for passive immunization therapy.
