Description: The Middle East Respiratory Syndrome-Coronavirus (MERS-CoV) is a novel highly pathogenic coronavirus which was first discovered in Saudi Arabia in September 2012. The coronavirus can infect humans and various animals, leading to diseases ranging from the common cold to severe acute respiratory syndrome. MERS-CoV infection can cause severe respiratory illness, with symptoms including fever, cough, and shortness of breath, accompanied by a high rate of acute kidney failure and death. NTD is located in the amino end of S1 spike protein. Specific monoclonal antibodies against NTD of novel coronavirus can be used as an important tool for antigen analysis, rapid diagnosis, scientific research and other important tools, and antibodies with neutralizing activity have downstream medicine development potential.
