Description: SIGLEC10, a unique member of the SIGLEC superfamily, has a similar structure of adhesion molecules and is able to mediate sialic acid dependent cell binding. As an inhibitory receptor, siglec10 plays a key role in immune response by inducing tyrosine phosphorylation, recruiting phosphatases, and negatively regulating B cell antigen receptor signaling. In addition, SIGLEC10 also cooperates with CD24 to regulate NK cell responses and autoimmunity, and inhibit the cross presentation of dendritic cells. Meanwhile, SIGLEC10 is also involved in the adhesion of lymphocytes to endothelial cells and changes the inflammatory microenvironment. At present, SIGLEC10 has become an important target for medical research and drug development, and its potential applications include the treatment of non-small cell lung cancer, ovarian cancer, pancreatic cancer and colorectal cancer.
