Description: Influenza D virus is a new type of influenza virus discovered in 2011. Cattle are generally considered to be the main host, and it is very different from influenza A and B viruses, but most similar to influenza C virus. However, it cannot recombine with influenza C virus. At present, this type of influenza virus has been detected in many countries and regions such as North America, Europe and China. The genome of influenza D virus consists of 7 segments and encodes 9 proteins, among which HEF is the only glycoprotein on the surface of the virus, equivalent to HA and NA of influenza A and B viruses; NP protein is a structural protein with high content in influenza virus particles, and monoclonal antibodies against NP can be used for diagnosis.
