Anti Helicobacter Pylori Omp (H.pylori-Omp) Monoclonal Antibody
Clone HI575 Catalog#: A50575
Description: Helicobacter pylori Omp protein, also known as Outer Membrane Protein, is a key component of the bacterium's outer membrane. Helicobacter pylori is a Gram-negative bacterium that colonizes the human stomach and is associated with various gastric diseases, including gastritis, peptic ulcers, and gastric cancer. Omp proteins are integral membrane proteins that span the entire thickness of the outer membrane, providing structural support and acting as gatekeepers for the exchange of substances between the bacterium and its environment. They are involved in a variety of important functions, including the regulation of nutrient uptake, the release of virulence factors, and the protection against the host immune system. In Helicobacter pylori, Omp proteins play a crucial role in the pathogenesis of gastric diseases. They contribute to the formation of biofilms on the stomach epithelial cells, providing a protective environment for the bacteria and allowing them to persist in the host. Omp proteins also mediate the release of virulence factors, such as urease, vacuolating cytotoxin A (VacA), and cytotoxin-associated antigen A (CagA), which are involved in the damage to the gastric mucosa and the development of gastric diseases.
