Description: Human norovirus (hNoV) belongs to the genus of non-enveloped viruses in the Caliciviridae family, with a positive-stranded single-stranded RNA genome. Norovirus is the main causative agent of non-bacterial gastroenteritis worldwide, causing infections and outbreaks mainly in two major groups, GI and GII, with over 30 genotypes showing significant antigenic differences. This virus is highly contagious and can be transmitted through water and food sources. Specific antibodies against norovirus can serve as important tools for antigen analysis, rapid diagnosis, scientific research, and other purposes.
