Description:
Human epidermal growth factor receptor-2 (HER2) was independently discovered by three research groups in the 1980s and is one of the more thoroughly studied breast cancer genes so far. The HER2 gene is a prognostic indicator for clinical treatment monitoring and an important target for tumor targeted therapy drug selection. Serum HER2 is related to tumor load, histology HER2 and lymph node status of breast cancer patients, and may be an independent prognostic factor, which may have a certain impact on the efficacy of chemotherapy or endocrine therapy.
